While the pricing will change based on your preferred services, you’ll find that Internet faxing really is an affordable alternative to regular faxing.
The vast majority of Internet faxing service providers charge a yearly or monthly fee. This subscription fee gives you a certain allotment of faxes that you can send and receive. You will have to pay extra for additional faxes. Most of these upfront costs cover about 100 to 500 sent and received faxes, but there are some that provide 1,000 faxes or more.
The upfront cost usually comes out to about $4.50 to $10 a month. There are some that are as expensive as $14 to $20 a month, but they usually provide additional services or a much larger threshold of faxes.

This will assign a 1-800 or 1-888 number to your online fax machine so that anyone who sends a fax to you doesn’t have to pay more for their usage. This will cost you slightly more money, but it will make other businesses more willing to contact you via this method.
This only costs about $1 to $3 more a month. Some service providers make this a standard feature so that you don't have to pay extra, but this is relatively uncommon and it’s usually for bigger accounts.
Do you want people to be able to call your Internet fax number and leave voicemails? This allows you to centralize that number so that people can easily contact you without having to juggle your various phone numbers. The cost of this is roughly the same as adding a toll-free number.
You can expect to pay about $1 to $2 more per month for this service. There may also be restrictions on how many voicemails that you can receive, but you should have no problems unless you receive hundreds of messages throughout the month.

The last thing that you might have to pay for is a setup fee. This is a one-time fee that you have to pay when you sign up with the service provider. Setup fees are commonly applied to smaller accounts, but there are some larger providers that also impose this fee.
